Middle School Teacher
Mary Beth Bowling has taught at CCA for 10 years. She has taught a variety of grades, as well as Latin and Written and Oral Communication. Mary Beth also holds a Certification in Secondary English, Graduating from Houghton College and the University of Tennessee. In the summers, she directs Camp Deer Run in Alton, NH. She loves to hike, bike, cross-country ski, read, bake, and eat what she bakes!
Sandy grew up in Connecticut and has been living in Wolfeboro since 2000. She has over 35 years of experience in early childhood education! Her tremendous experience is only matched by her great love for the children under her care. She has been married since 1986, has two daughters, and beautiful grandchildren. When not spending time with family, you can find her gardening, golfing, skiing, or taking an easy hike.
Kindergarten/1st Grade Teacher
A graduate from Granite State College with a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Bethany has worked with children ranging from infants to high school age since 2001. Bethany was the youth director at her church and loved putting on Vacation Bible School each year. Bethany was also the director of the Head Start in Concord, NH. Bethany lives in Wolfeboro with her husband and two daughters.
2nd/3rd Grade Teacher
Growing up in southern Indiana, Mendy completed her undergraduate degree at Indiana University and started a career in social work. After seeing the need, her career shifted to education while earning her M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. After 4 years in the classroom, she stayed home to attend to her children when they were young. Without a local Christian school to attend, she homeschooled the past couple years to ensure a solid foundation in Biblical worldview, literacy and Math. She enjoys hiking, spending time with her family, and exploring new hobbies. As the Lord has called this family here, she’s excited to see what God has in store. She’s looking forward to creating a home and becoming part of the community here at Cornerstone!
4th Grade Teacher
A graduate from Plymouth State College with a BS Degree in Social Science, Clayton also received a MEd from Plymouth State College in Administration. Clayton has over 30 years in education as a teacher and principal. Over the last 12 years he has worked in sales. Clayton has been married to his wife Kathy for 43 years. They have two grown daughters, Jessica and Jillian, and 5 wonderful grandchildren: Jacob, Kelly, Matthew, Avie and Joshua.
His favorite pastime is to travel and see the country in his RV. He also loves the outdoors, hiking and reading. He thanks God for the opportunity of becoming a member of the Cornerstone Christian Family!
Middle School Teacher
David Mansfield joined the teaching staff at Cornerstone Christian Academy in 2021. He graduated from Gordon College with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and currently teaches Bible, Logic and History classes for the middle school. David enjoys working with young people and he often spends his summers working with youth at Camp Sentinel. Some of his additional interests include soccer, classic literature, and sailing.
Middle School Science Teacher
Mrs. LaPlante holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting, an Associate of Science in Business Administration, and a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Between homeschooling her own children, teaching homeschool classes, and traditional classroom teaching, she has 15 years of teaching experience. She enjoys sewing, gardening, hiking, kayaking, and swimming in New Hampshire’s lakes and ocean.
Preschool and Elementary Music Teacher
Mrs. Nieman graduated from the University of Cincinnati, OH with a degree in Graphic Design in 1986. She taught music and movement as a licensed Kindermusik Educator in a studio setting for 8 years in Wolfeboro. Mrs. Nieman has been on staff at CCA as an early childhood music teacher since the fall of 2009 and has served our youngest children since the winter of 2014.
Middle School Music Teacher
Marge Mansfield has had an interesting and varied background in public, private, and home school education over the past 40 years. After receiving her B.S. in elementary education from Gordon College and, later, her M. Ed. from Boston University, she has taught at every grade K through 8 (including remedial reading and math, and gifted and talented), and has experience teaching at the community college level. Marge was delighted to home school her two children from kindergarten through college admission. Her favorite formal educational experience occurred while working for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools in England as a school guidance counselor. Marge is active at the First Baptist Church of Wolfeboro, providing music for worship each Sunday.
Art Teacher K-8
Elaine graduated from the University of Vermont with a BS in Art Education. She has a lifetime of experiences in Art, from teaching in schools to creating animation for software companies. When she’s not making stuff, Elaine is usually to be found out walking with her husband Jack and their Scottish Terrier, Dorothy Parker.
