Mary Beth Bowling has taught at CCA for 10 years. She has taught a variety of grades, as well as Latin and Written and Oral Communication. Mary Beth also holds a Certification in Secondary English, Graduating from Houghton College and the University of Tennessee. In the summers, she directs Camp Deer Run in Alton, NH. She loves to hike, bike, cross-country ski, read, bake, and eat what she bakes!
Mary was born in upstate New York and moved to New Hampshire at a young age. She has been in New Hampshire ever since. Mary was home-schooled through 8th grade and then attended a private Christian High School for 2 years. Later she returned to home-school and graduated high school. Mary did tap dance for 8 years and enjoys painting, cooking and baking.
Mrs. Johnson graduated from Messiah College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Cross-Cultural Christian Ministries and from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity. From there, she got married to Ryan and they became missionaries in Uganda for 3 years. She was the Chaplain of a local girls' school in Uganda where she helped plan and lead services every week, lead Bible Studies and teach confirmation classes. Jillian and Ryan now have 3 children: Matthew, age 5, Aveline (Avie), age 3 and Joshua, 5 months. She has extensive office skills and first came to CCA as the Office Manager. Having a desire to teach, she moved into the Kindergarten Teacher Position when it became available. In her free time, she likes to bake and spend time with her children.
1/2 Grade Teacher
A graduate from Granite State College with a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Bethany has worked with children ranging from infants to high school age since 2001. Bethany was the youth director at her church and loved putting on Vacation Bible School each year. Bethany was also the director of the Head Start in Concord, NH. This is her second year teaching at Cornerstone. Bethany lives in Wolfeboro with her husband and two daughters.
3/4 Grade Teacher
A graduate from Plymouth State College with a BS Degree in Social Science, Clayton also received a MEd from Plymouth State College in Administration. Clayton has over 30 years in education as a teacher and principal. Over the last 12 years he has worked in sales. Clayton has been married to his wife Kathy for 43 years. They have two grown daughters, Jessica and Jillian, and 5 wonderful grandchildren: Jacob, Kelly, Matthew, Avie and Joshua.
His favorite pastime is to travel and see the country in his RV. He also loves the outdoors, hiking and reading. He thanks God for the opportunity of becoming a member of the Cornerstone Christian Family!
Middle School History, Literature and Math Teacher
Mrs. Sellinger teaches literature and social studies here at Cornerstone. She has been at Cornerstone for many years. Mrs. Sellinger graduated from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in New Jersey. Her degrees are a BS in General Education and Library Science. Mrs. Sellinger came to New Hampshire in 1978 as a fifth grade teacher at Carpenter School in Wolfeboro.
Health and Physical Education Teacher
Jessica Locke graduated from Messiah College in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a specialty in Health and Physical Education. She then received her Master's degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Penn State. Jessica has been teaching, whether in the public school, the local home-school community, or her own children, for the past 20 years. Jessica loves to explore the outdoors, coach basketball, and travel with her 4 daughters, but most of all, she loves to share Jesus with those around her! Colossians 3:23-24
Mrs. Nieman graduated from the University of Cincinnati, OH with a degree in Graphic Design in 1986. She taught music and movement as a licensed Kindermusik Educator in a studio setting for 8 years in Wolfeboro. Mrs. Nieman has been on staff at CCA as an early childhood music teacher since the fall of 2009 and has served our youngest children since the winter of 2014.
