Preschool Teacher
Sandy grew up in Connecticut and has been living in Wolfeboro since 2000. She has over 35 years of experience in early childhood education! Her tremendous experience is only matched by her great love for the children under her care. She has been married since 1986, has two daughters, and beautiful grandchildren. When not spending time with family, you can find her gardening, golfing, skiing, or taking an easy hike.
Preschool Teacher
Monique has always called New Hampshire her home, but has lived and worked in a variety of communities throughout the granite state. Since 2006 Monique has been blessed with many opportunities to serve children and families. She has worked in local public schools, nannied infant through elementary aged children, and is currently serving in the children's ministry at her church, Calvary Wolfeboro. Monique lives in Brookfield with her husband Thomas and their trio of furry friends. Monique is an artist at heart and brings her love of creating into her gardens as well as her classroom. She is so excited to bring her love of learning to the Cornerstone community.
Preschool and Elementary Music Teacher
Mrs. Nieman graduated from the University of Cincinnati, OH with a degree in Graphic Design in 1986. She taught music and movement as a licensed Kindermusik Educator in a studio setting for 8 years in Wolfeboro. Mrs. Nieman has been on staff at CCA as an early childhood music teacher since the fall of 2009 and has served our youngest children since the winter of 2014.
Kindergarten/1st Grade Teacher
A graduate from Granite State College with a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Bethany has worked with children ranging from infants to high school age since 2001. Bethany was the youth director at her church and loved putting on Vacation Bible School each year. Bethany was also the director of the Head Start in Concord, NH. Bethany lives in Wolfeboro with her husband and two daughters.
2nd Grade Teacher
Virginia attended Framingham State College and received a B.S. in Home Economics Education and a minor in Learning Disabilities. She later attended Salem State College and received certifications in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. After completing her internship at Perkins School for the Blind, she was drawn to help students having learning challenges, and has spent many years working with that population in various positions. Each job has given her new ways to make learning relevant and fun. Virginia resides with her outrageously witty husband and her three mischievous cats. In her free time she enjoys being in nature; walking, hiking, bicycling and kayaking. She also enjoys a good movie with a big bowl of popcorn.
3rd/4th Grade Teacher, K-8 Art Teacher, After School Coordinator
Thomas Dacey graduated from New Hampshire Institute of Art with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts and a Certification in K-12 Art Education. Since college, Thomas has taught in both private and public schools across New Hampshire. During his 10 years in education, he has taught in all traditional grade levels as well as many after school and summer enrichment programs. Thomas has helped organized present art galleries., theater performances, and community-wide art projects that showcase the learning and achievements of his students. He loves to create artwork and write poetry for his local church family, Calvary Wolfeboro. He and his wife Monique live on "Joyful Soil Homestead" in nearby Brookfield with a cast of ducks and chickens. Thomas is excited and humbled to be a part of the work the Lord is doing at Cornerstone.
Middle School Language Arts, Bible, Latin Teacher
Mary Beth Bowling has taught at CCA for over 10 years. She has taught a variety of grades, as well as Latin and Written and Oral Communication. Mary Beth also holds a Certification in Secondary English, Graduating from Houghton College and the University of Tennessee. In the summers, she directs Camp Deer Run in Alton, NH. She loves to hike, bike, cross-country ski, read, bake, and eat what she bakes!
Middle School Math and Science Teacher
Cindy Fairbanks started teaching swimming in 1986 and developed a love for teaching after sharing in the excitement of the children learning to dive. She graduated from UNH in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology/Physical Education-Pedagogy. She taught Physical Education at Good Shepherd School in Barrington as well as Math and Science at SouthEastern New Hampshire Christian Academy in Somersworth. Cindy has been married to her husband Roy for 36 years and is currently living in Barrington, NH, where they attend the First Congregational Church of Barrington. Cindy loves all outdoor recreation activities and all four seasons in New Hampshire.
Health and Wellness
Lauren is a non practicing physician and certified health and wellness coach. She graduated fro Dartmouth College in 1994 with a BA in psychology, and fro Tufts University School of Medicine in 2001. In 2006, her family moved to Guam and Lauren transitioned from medicine to motherhood. Since that time, she has never sopped learning about whole person health, applying what she has learned to her life, and helping others do the same. She has worked with students of all ages and has experience teaching health education at the high school level. Lauren lives in Brookfield with her husband and three children. When she's not treasuring time with her family, there's a good chance you'll find her reading, writing, walking, cooking, or at a women's ministry gathering at church.
